The Denial Of Drug Detox Treatment for Incarcerated Individuals is Unconstituitonal
How often have we heard of someone in the community overdosing from Heroin, Fentanyl or some combination of the two? It has become a common variable in the correctional community as well, and the denial of treatment for substance abuse for those who are incarcerated is just as important. In 2019, people should not come to jail and die. The denial of such necessary treatment can be construed as a violation of the patients constitutional rights.
